Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, raised in Plano, Illinois, and educated in the Rio Grande Valley, Carl Zayas brings a unique blend of life experience and heart to the field of social work. He proudly served in the United States Navy for seven years before earning his degree in Social Work from The University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley.
Carl chose social work because he has a genuine passion for helping others—and because the Chicago Bulls never returned his calls.
He is happily married to the love of his life, Terri, and is the proud father of four amazing kids: Erik, Michael, Nico, and Christine. In his free time, Carl enjoys pro wrestling, retro gaming, sandwiches, and a well-timed joke.
